Day 1

  • 08h00 Travel to biological station Jatun Sacha
  • 13h00 Arrival in city of Tena
  • 13h30 Arrival at Biological Station (Check in rooms)

  • 15h30 Visit botanical garden
  • 16h00 Explication of Ethnobotany and medicinal plants
  • 18h00 Dinner
  • 19h00 Talk about biodiversity and sustainable use of the forest
  • 21h00 Rest

Day 2

  • 07h30 Breakfast
  • 08h00 Excursion to the Jatun Sacha forest close to river Arajuno
    • Identification of species of flora and fauna from the observation hut in the primary forest, then we walk along the Arajuno River until it crosses the Napo river where native Quichua communities live
  • 13h00 Box lunch
  • 15h00 Return to biological station
  • 18h00 Dinner
  • 22h00 Rest

Day 3

  • 07h30 Breakfast
  • 08h00 Leave for Amazonian animal rescue center
    • Boat trip on Napo river and visit of Quichua community on Anaconda Island
    • Box Lunch at Napo river
    • Possibility for swimming in Napo river
    • Visit Quichua Ahuano community and their ceramic works
  • 17h00 Return to biological station
  • 18h00 Dinner
  • 20h00 Bonfire
  • 22h00 Rest

Day 4

  • 07h30 Breakfast
  • 08h00 Visit community of Ñucanchi Causay
    • And presentation of ancestral traps project of the community
    • Return to biological station
  • 12h00 Lunch
  • 13h00 Return back to Quito
