The Amazon Region in Ecuador is formed by six provinces witha total area of 131.000 hectares. The climate is characterized by high tempetures, constant rains, high humidity. To observe the graet vegetation, dominated by tropical rain forests, and the characteristic fauna, becomes an incredible adventure.

Many indigenous nationalities and settlers live together in the reagion, each with its own traditions and customes. The most important ethnic groups are the Siona, Secoya, Huaroani, A'i-cofanes, Quichuas, Shuar, Achuar and Shiwiar.
